Load-shedding in Haripur

Published September 27, 2005

HARIPUR, Sept 26: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has decided to start a one-hour daily load-shedding on all feeders of Haripur district from Sept 26, says a Pesco handout here on Monday.

According to the handout issued from the office of the deputy manager, Pesco city division, Said Ghafar Khan, owing to thunderstorms and heavy rains on the evening of Sept 24 the pylons installed between Tarbela and Mardan section got damaged, which compelled the Pesco to carry out a one-hour load-shedding on all the feeders daily.

However, the maintenance of the damaged structure is expected to be completed within the next few days. The Pesco authority made it clear that the load-shedding was temporary and would be over once the damaged towers were repaired.
