PESHAWAR, Sept 25: A three-member delegation from the United States, led by Congressman Mark Wood, will discuss the issue of erecting fences along the Afghan border with the authorities here on Wednesday, sources told Dawn on Sunday. The team would be accompanied by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Jehangir Karamat, the sources said. It would meet the Peshawar corps commander and senior Frontier Corps officials, they said. During the meetings, the US team would discuss the issue of border fencing, they said.

The team would also visit some seminaries and inaugurate a school on the University Road, they said.

When contacted, an Inter-Services Public Relations spokesman expressed ignorance about the visit.
