Adnan steers team into final

LAHORE, Sept 25: Two goals by Adnan enabled Faisalabad to enter the final of the fourth Sports Board Punjab Inter-district U-17 football championship, beating Toba Tek Singh 3-0 at Faisalabad on Sunday. Faisalabad will meet Bahawalpur in the finals, who beat Bhakkar 2-1 in the second semifinals. Adnan struck in the 44th minute to give Faisalabad 1-0 lead.

Irfan doubled it in the 52nd minute, before Adnan struck his second goal in the 60th minute to complete the tally.

A goal each by Own Shah (23rd minute) and Noman Ejaz (53rd) helped Bahawalpur beat Bhakkhar.
