LAHORE, Sept 25: Bay mare, Native Force, put up a much improved performance , going to the front over a furlong to race and win the Muhammad Tughlaq Cup run over 1200 metres during the Lahore Winter Meeting at the floodlit Racecourse on Sunday.

She beat Green Street by three clear lengths while the other ten runners squabbled over hitting the board.

Ridden by the riding boy Shahid Mustafa the winner was heavily backed by the connections and she justified the confidence reposed in her by them. This was the fourth race in racing order. The hot favourite colt, Ghoray Wah, skillfully ridden by jockey Shahid Rehman edged out Legend at the finishing post to win the sixth and last race of the day by a head’s margin.
