KARACHI, Sept 24: Officials of the Pakistan Rangers and Indian Border Security Force on Saturday discussed the day-to-day border security matters at a quarterly held meeting at Khokhrapar.
BSF Deputy Inspector General Harish Chandra Kashyap, led the eight-member Indian delegation, whereas Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Deputy Director-Gen Brig Taqdees Ahmed Lodhi headed the Pakistani side.
Sources said that they discussed smuggling, illegal border crossing, drug trafficking, joint patrolling and exchange of prisoners.
BUS TALKS: A delegation will be leaving for India on Monday to hold talks on the launching of Lahore-Amritsar and Nankana Sahib-Amritsar bus services.
The delegation will be led by Additional Secretary, Ministry of Communication, Mohammad Abbas.—Agencies
