Border situation with China discussed

GILGIT, Sept 24: The officials from governments of Pakistan and China held a high-level meeting on Friday to discuss matters relating to Pakistan-China border and other related issues. Police sources said Wang Guangji, the chief of Kashgher Military Command and Bai Wenli, the chief of Khunjerab Meeting Station arrived in Gilgit via Khunjerab Pass and met the Northern Areas police chief Sarmad Saeed Khan who is also the chief of Khunjerab Security Force.

The officials of the two countries thoroughly discussed issues like smuggling and illegal border. The sources said the meeting expressed satisfaction over the security situation along the border.—Correspondent
