PBSA names 8-man squad

KARACHI, Sept 23: Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) named an eight-member squad on Friday for the Nov 7-20 IBSF World snooker championship scheduled to be held at Arabian Sea Country Club. PBSA chief Asghar Valika announced the team on the basis of the players’ national rankings.

Former world and Asian champion Muhammad Yousuf once again jumped onto the top of the rankings. Other cueists picked for the event are: Saleh Muhammad, Naveen Perwani, Abu Saim, Latif Amir Bakhsh, Imran Shahzad, Khurram Hussain Agha and Shehram Changezi.

Mr Asghar said the PBSA would conduct a 15-day training camp to be supervised by Alamgir Shaikh for the players at Karachi Club next month. The dates would be announced later, he added.—APP
