PESHAWAR, Sept 23: A widow has appealed to the president, the NWFP chief minister and governor and police high-ups to take notice of her son’s oppressive behaviour against her. “My adopted son Ahmad Ikram has fraudulently transferred my properties in the name of his wife Razia”, said 60-year old Chaman Gulzar, widow of late Khan Mohammad, at a news conference here on Friday.
She said that after the death of her husband in June last, her adopted son became an albatross around her neck. He frequently visited her home at Noor Khan Street, Kochi Bazaar and beat her, said the aged lady with tears trickling down her cheeks.
She said that her son, in collusion with officials of the revenue department, got her properties registered in his wife’s name.
An employee of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Akhtar Hussain and one Javed Khan also helped her son in transfer of her properties by putting fake thumb impressions on documents.
She said when she came to know about the fraud, she went to the court and obtained a stay order against the said transfer after which her son had been continuously sending threatening messages to her.
The lady alleged that Ahmad Ikram was a member of land mafia and was also involved in car-lifting and robberies. She said that the then DSP Chaudry Ashraf had a complete record regarding his involvement in these crimes.
“He has also forcibly occupied a house of my daughter located in Civil Quarters area and houses and properties of many other people”, she added.
She further alleged that Ahmed Ikram had availed Rs1.2million loan from the United Bank Limited against mortgage of her property. She asked people to avoid any deal with her son in respect of any property.
She said that she had owned the said property since 1976 and her claim could be verified from the record of the concerned department.
The lady further alleged that she had lodged a report with the police about the activities of her son but no action was being taken against him. “I have a daughter who is married while my real son is mentally-retarded”, she said.
She appealed to the president, chief minister, governor and high-ups of the police department to order arrest of her adopted son so as to save her from his wrath.
