Compensatory allowance restored
GILGIT, Sept 23: The federal government has restored the Gilgit Compensatory Allow- ance to the government employees. The Rs450 allowance was stopped after revision of government employees’ salary in July last.
Northern Areas Legislative Council Speaker Malik Mohammad Miskeen, in a statement, has appreciated a prompt action taken by the prime minister secretariat on the request of the government employees and the public representatives of the area.
He disclosed that Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas division had been directed to take appropriate action and send compliance report to the PM secretariat.
NALC SUMMONED: The speaker has summoned Northern Areas Legislative Cou-ncil session on September 24.
