SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Indian troops killed five militants and suspected rebels killed a former insurgent and a soldier in Kashmir, an army statement said on Thursday. Four of the rebels were killed in Sugan in southern Pulwama district late Wednesday, army spokesman Vijay Batra told AFP. The fifth militant was also shot dead late Wednesday during a raid on a suspected rebel hideout in Fidapora Panzulla village in northern Baramulla district, Batra said.—AFP
