PCB to improve infrastructure in interior Sindh


JACOBABAD, Sept 22: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will strengthen the infrastructure in the interior of Sindh in a bid to get better cricketers. These views were expressed by Chairman PCB Shaharyar M. Khan while presiding over a meeting on Thursday. He said because of lack of required facilities cricketers from interior of Sindh could not reach the upper level.

He informed the meeting that an amount of rupees four million has been allocated for the stadium in Jacobabad.

He said to improve the standard among the cricketers and lift the quality of the game, PCB will provide better equipped facilities and grounds.

Shaharyar said for the promotion of sports and preparing better breed of cricketers will be improved and academies and coaching centres will be established.

He said to achieve the glory in the sport, efforts are being made to prepare quality cricketers and infrastructure for which all resources will be acquired.

The PCB chairman, along with the officials of local cricket association and local administration, also visited various areas where proposed stadium or ground will be constructed.—APP
