Marathon grab honours

KARACHI, Sept 22: Marathon mustered 96 Victory Points (VPs) to clinch the second edition of Suspense Bridge Tournament at Aslam Memorial Bridge Hall National Stadium on Wednesday evening. Marathon comprising Tariq Rasheed Khan, F.A.Naeem. Ziaullah Baig and Ghulam Muhammad succeeded in outplaying other teams to win the title.

They whipped Hamid Mohiuddin’s team 25-3, Noor Alam’s team 20-10, A.K. Bhurgari’s team 16-14.

A.K. Bhurgari’s team having S.M. Ozair, Zafar Zaki and Taqi Reza collected 92 VPs for runners-up spot.

They won four matches and drew one.

Nuri Pasha’s team collected 88 VPs for third position while K.K. Suri’s team finished fourth with 81 VPs.—APP
