SWABI, Sept 22: Foreign faculty members have appreciated the academic activities at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. Prof Kiyotaka Matsuura of Japan, Mohafizul Haque of Malaysia, Dr Tom S. Eagleton of the United Kingdom, Tahir I. Khan of Canada, Manakov Sekgey of Kazakhstan and Yosry Abdel Hafiez Mashal, Nagy Taha and Mr Hanafi of Egypt visited the institute on Thursday.
A.Q. Khan Research Laboratories Director Dr Wilayat Hussain and Superintendent Engineer Dr Shabbar Abbas accompanied the foreign scholars.
Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Dr Fazal A. Khalid, briefed them about the institute’s curriculum.
He said there were 43 world class laboratories in the institute where the students conducted research.
