KARACHI: Bandits strike at several places

KARACHI, Sept 22: Bandits struck at several places in the city since late Wednesday night depriving people of cash and valuables worth millions of rupees. An expatriate returning from Dubai was deprived of foreign currency, gold ornaments by four suspects clad in police uniform at Star Gate Wednesday night.

According to reports, Zahid had hired a cab from Airport and was heading to Clifton when four men in police uniform stopped the cab at Star Gate and deprived him of 40,000 Saudi Riyals, 400 gm gold and Rs 10,000 of cash.

According to the complainant, the suspects were holding wireless sets and were talking on the sets. An FIR was lodged at the Airport police station. In North Nazimabad, Block J, armed suspects burgled house of Mohammad Faisal and fled with goods and valuables worth Rs600,000.
