Witnesses in PM attack case cross-examined


RAWALPINDI, Sept 21: Defence lawyers cross examined the prosecution witnesses (PWs) during the hearing in the suicide attack on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz case here on Wednesday. Later, Anti-Terrorist Court No. II judge Safdar Malik adjourned the hearing which was held inside Central Jail Adiala. Now the case will be heard on September 29.

Those arrested in connection with the suicide attack included Suleman Ahmed, Qari Abdul Basit, Qari Abdul Munim, Mohammad Nasar, Qari Ahmed, Maulvi Siddiq and Noor Badshah.

Six persons were killed and 48 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up near Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on July 30, 2004.—APP
