Sonia says Punjab govt has cheated her

Published September 21, 2005

ISLAMABAD, Sept 20: Rape victim Sonia Naz on Tuesday deplored that police had not yet registered the first information report (FIR) to book those who had abused her. In a telephonic conversation with reporters on Monday through her lawyer Zulfikar Ahmed Bhutta, Sonia Naz clarified that the FIR registered by the police on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi was not the one she had requested for against her rape, rather the case had been registered due to some differences between Faisalabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Chaudhry

Sajjad and Superintendent Police (Investigations) Faisalabad Abdullah Khalid.
