QUETTA, Sept 19: Provincial Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has stressed the need for improvement of educational standard in order to maintain an academic environment in the Balochistan University.

During a visit to the high-tech resource laboratory in the campus on Monday, Mr Owais directed that the services of qualified lecturers should be obtained to improve the quality of education.

He assured the university administration that federal and provincial governments would cooperate for provision of funds to facilitate the lecturers and students in carrying out research.

In the briefing the governor was informed that the laboratory, which was established at a cost of Rs25 million, was equipped with the latest modern equipment and would facilitate researchers in various fields of science and technology.

The governor was also informed that the other laboratories of various departments in the campus would also be improved and around Rs39 million would be spent on it.
