KARACHI: KU VC felicitates students, faculty

KARACHI, Sept 19: The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Karachi, Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, on Monday felicitated the students and faculty members for holding the Students’ Week in a peaceful manner and organizing impressive programmes, which were attended by a large number of students.

He said programmes organized by the students of various KU departments including Economics, English, Genetics, Psychology, International Relations, KUBS, Computer Science, Chemistry Geology, Geography and Pakistan Studies were unforgettable and of great standard.

“Peaceful holding of several programmes indicate that the KU students are intelligent and peace-loving who remained disciplined throughout the said event and not a single incident of violence was reported” he added.

Dr Pirzada said that holding of debates, seminars and other extracurricular activities should continue at the varsity and students should participate in each other’s programmes to learn from their experiences and improve their intellectual abilities.

The KU VC also praised the faculty members and administrative staff of the varsity for assisting the students in organizing activities in such a professional manner.—PPI
