KARACHI: Monument in memory of MQM activists planned

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Sept 19: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief, Altaf Hussain, praised the comrades, who gave sacrifices for the party cause, and declared that a memorial for them would be constructed.

He was telephonically speaking at a dinner hosted for the relatives of the “martyrs” of the party at Jinnah Ground on Sunday. Members of MQM coordination committee, ministers and advisers were also present besides other party cadre.

Altaf Hussain said the success MQM-backed candidates achieved in the local body election could not have been achieved if the comrades would not have gone through the torments of life. He said that success should be attributed to those who gave their lives in the party struggle.

He directed those elected in the local body elections to address the problems of the common man as well as of the relatives of those who gave their life for the party cause.
