No play on 2nd day

RAWALPINDI, Sept 18: The second day’s play in the second four-day Test between Pakistan ‘A’ and Australia ‘A’ was entirely washed out at KRL Cricket Stadium on Sunday. In the wake of heavy overnight rain, the pitch was waterlogged. Umpires Siddique Khan and Nadeem Ghauri called off play at about 3.00pm after consultation with match referee Rizwan Khateeb.

Australia ‘A’ scored 318 for five in their first innings on the first day on Saturday after skipper Brad Haddin won the toss and elected to bat on a docile track.

Pakistan ‘A’ lead the series 1-0. The two teams will play three one-dayers in Lahore on Sept 23, 25 and 27.—APP
