Two ASIs held for PO’s escape

SIALKOT, Sept 18: Satrah police on Sunday arrested its two ASIs for helping a proclaimed offender in his escape. ASIs Khizar Hayyat and Muhammad Arshad had arrested PO Muhammad Akhtar alias Akhtaru about a week back. Later, the PO managed to escape with the alleged abetment of the accused ASIs. The PO was wanted by police in several cases of heinous crime.

Police have arrested both the accused ASIs and are investigating.

MINISTER URGES: Federal health minister Muhammad Naseer Khan has urged all the divided PML groups in Narowal district to shun their differences in the larger party interests.

This he said while speaking at a meeting of the newly-elected union council nazims, naib nazims and councillors at Narowal on Sunday.

RAIN: Sialkot and Narowal districts received heavy rain on Sunday, turning the weather pleasant.
