Balloting for Haj under govt scheme


ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: Ministry of Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr is busy making arrangements for 150,000 pilgrims who will perform Haj next year. According to a statement, 90,000 pilgrims will perform Haj under the government scheme, whereas 60,000 will proceed for the sacred journey through private group organizers.

The statement said the ministry had received more than 138,000 Haj applications under the government scheme and 60,000 under the private scheme.—Our Reporter
