Two women killed in road accident

SWABI, Sept 17: Two women were killed and three other members of a family received serious injuries when their car collided with a roadside tree here on Friday. The family was on its way from their native town Kota to Swabi in their car No LOU 4985.

When they reached near Yousafabad on Swabi-Topi road, the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a roadside tree. Dilfat Begum and wife of Tahirudin died on the spot while the injured Farhat Begum and her husband Zahirudin and Sher Ahmad (husband of deceased Dilfat) were seriously injured. They were rushed to the DHQ Swabi.

Two family members who were in serious condition were later sent to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar.

Death: Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Arshad Khan on Friday handed down a death sentence and a fine of Rs 50,000 to a murderer

Ataur Rehman had killed Imtiaz Khan 17 years back after exchanging hot words during a volleyball match.

After the incident he remained underground for 15-years. During this period the original judicial file and a medical report disappeared.

The inquiry team prepared another file and started the trial.
