Musharraf, Ahmadinejad discuss ties


UNITED NATIONS, Sept 16: President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Iranian President Ahmadinejad held talks here on Friday at the UN, covering the ‘whole range’ of bilateral relations.

Pakistan’s permanent representative to UN Munir Akram said the two leaders discussed all aspects of bilateral ties in ‘a warm and cordial’ atmosphere.

The leaders expressed satisfaction at the state of bilateral ties and considered ways and means to enhancing relations, he said.

The regional situation and Pakistan-India peace process also came under 30-minute discussion, Mr Akram said.—APP
