BEIJING, Sept. 16: General Liang Guanglie, member of the Central Military Commission and Chief of the General Staff of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), held talks with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Ehsan Ul Haq. They agreed to further strengthen military-to-military relationship between two counties.

The PLA’s sources told APP here Thursday that the two sides held very productive talks to push forward their long-standing partnership.

Mr Guanglie said that China and Pakistan had all along exchanged fruitful cooperation in fields of politics, economy, culture and trade.

The friendly ties between the two armed forces have witnessed constant development, the two sides have maintained frequent mutual visits at all levels.

In the future, the Chinese side will, keep on making the utmost efforts in cementing the friendly cooperative ties with Pakistan, he added.

Liang Guanglie also exchanged views with Ehsan Ul Haq on the issues of common concern such as international and regional situations and army building.

General Ehsan said that the Chinese people are good friends, good brothers and good neighbours.

While the two countries are carrying out friendly contacts, friendly ties between the two armed forces have constantly been burgeoning.

The objective of this visit is to further deepen mutual understanding, learn from each other and boost bilateral cooperation, he added.—APP
