PESHAWAR, Sept 15: Following federal government’s approval of a plan for setting up a Software Technology Park in the NWFP, the provincial government has expedited efforts for acquiring three acres of land for the project. This was stated at a meeting held here on Thursday under the chairmanship of provincial Minister for Information Technology Hussain Ahmed Kanju. It was attended by Secretary IT Mohammad Umar Afridi and Director IT Mohammad Sarwar Gondal.

The government would provide Rs150million for the project, the meeting was told.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister directed the officials concerned to accelerate work on IT-related projects.

He warned that the lapsing of money allocated for the projects would not be tolerated.
