Peshawar varsity restores old system

PESHAWAR, Sept 14: The syndicate of the Peshawar University has abolished the four-year term for B.A., B.Sc (honours) course and two-year for M.A., M.Sc course and restored the two-year term for B.A., B.Sc and M.A. M Sc and three-year term for honours.

The university syndicate which had introduced four-year duration for B.A, A.Ac honours course for the current session, has restored the old system. The provincial assembly had opposed the four-year term, says a press release here on Wednesday.

The new system would be applicable by Dec, 2005. The students of ongoing B.A., B.Ac honours classes would have the option to continue or take B.A, B.Sc two-year and M.A, M.Sc honours onwards. Moreover, the university had declared English and Quranic teachings compulsory for all the students of M.A.
