Javed Hashmi seeks global pressure for democracy

LAHORE, Sept 14: ARD president Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has appealed to the world community to use their influence for the restoration of democracy and undisputed 1973 Constitution in Pakistan and the return home of exiled leaders Mian Nawaz Sharif, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Ms Benazir Bhutto.

In a statement here on Wednesday, he said the uniform of Gen Musharraf was not an issue of the US, instead it concerned Pakistan. He said parties’ “go, Musharraf go” stance would remain unchanged, no matter what the US position on the issue.
