HYDERABAD, Sept 14: The president of the Tubewell Employees Association, Hala irrigation division, Salinity Control and Reclamation Project (SCARP), Mukhtar Ali Khashkheli, has appealed to the Sindh governor and chief minister, Sindh PPO and Hyderabad RPO to provide him protection against Tandojam police station ASI Mir Hyder, defeated nazim candidate from the Moosa Khatian union council Hakim Ali Khatian and his father Allah Khan Khatian.

He was speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Wednesday along with his brothers, Air Bux and Nazir Ali and Sindh Peoples Students Federation Leader Saleem Pervez Sipio.

Mukhtiar Ali alleged that in the wee hours of September 3, the three accused barged into his house and threatened him for not voting for Hakim Ali Khatian in the local body elections.

He said he had contacted the SHO of the Tandojam police station but he expressed total ignorance about the incident.

He said the ASI again raided his house on September 5, blindfolded him and took him to an unknown place to punish him for in retaliation telegrams that he had sent to the chief minister and the governor seeking their help.

Mr Ali appealed to the authorities concerned to provide protection to him and his family as their lives were in danger.
