The objective of raising voice against poverty was to remind Pakistan government’s pledge to the international community of reducing poverty to 87 per cent, increasing literacy to 100 per cent and eradicating the child mortality rate to 50 per cent, as well as provide better environment to the population.

The marchers, holding placard, wore white bands and raised slogans demanding education, health and basic amenities for the masses.
