Three ties decided
HYDERABAD, Sept 13: Three matches were decided on the first day of Defence Day All-Sindh Inter-club basketball Cup at Sindh Sports Board’s court on Tuesday. Khoro Club, Larkana defeated Qasimabad Club 32-02 through fine performance by Sabir Hussain, Yasin Mustafa and Ghulam Farooq.
Makli Club, Thatta blanked Qasimabad Club 56-02 through Khuda Bux, Muhammad Azim and Azam Shah. Mehran University Club outplayed Hyderabad Club 32-12. Tariq Ahmed and Fida Hussain were the best performers.
The best players of the cup will be selected to Sindh team for National basketball championship starting from Sept 18 at Attock Cantt. A four-member committee comprising Syed Ziauddin, Irshad Ali Makhdoom, Abdul Aziz Khaskheli and Wajahat Hussain will monitor the players’ performance.—APP
