HYDERABAD, Sept 13: A total number of 295 candidates have filed their nomination papers for reserved seats and for taluka and district nazims in Hyderabad, Matiari and Tando Allahyar districts.

In Hyderabad district, 74 forms were filed including four for district nazims.

For district council, 34 forms were filed for reserved seats of women, 25 for labour and 10 for minority.

In the district’s city taluka council, 32 forms were submitted including four for taluka nazim, 16 for women, six each for women and minority.

For Latifabad taluka council, 19 candidatures were filed including three for taluka nazim.

Eleven forms were submitted for women seats, two for labour and three for minority.

Likewise, 20 forms were filed for the Qasimabad taluka council.

Of them four were contestants for taluka nazim, three for reserved seats of women, six for minority and seven for labour.

In Hyderabad (rural) taluka, 41 forms were submitted.

Of them, eight are for taluka nazim, 11 for women, seven for minority and 15 for labour.

For the Matiari district, three were candidates for district nazim.

They are Mohammad Ali Jamote of the Jamote Ittehad, Bachal Shah Lakyari and Farman Ali Shah.

For Matiari taluka council, four were taluka nazim candidates and sixteen for reserved seats.

Four candidates are contesting for Hala taluka, four for women and two each of labour and minority.

Dr Rahila Magsi of the government-backed Azad Magsi Ittehad and Abdul Sattar Bachani of PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel filed their candidatures for district nazim Tando Allahyar.

Imdad Pitafi and Tasleem Pasha submitted their forms for the said seat.

Besides, eleven candidates for women, two for labour and six for minority also filed their forms.

In Jhando Khan Mari taluka, three candidates filed candidatures for taluka nazim, five each for women and labour and two for minority.

For the Chambar taluka three are candidates for nazim, four for reserved seats of taluka council, two for labour and one for minority.
