KARACHI: Steps to address molesting issue promised


KARACHI, Sept 13: The Sindh Health Minister, Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani, promised to take all required measures to strictly address the issue of molesting. Talking to journalist here on Tuesday during his visit to the Civil Hospital, to personally inquire the well-being of the child victim of rape, the minister said these incidents were not acceptable to any society and perpetrators of such crimes should to be awarded exemplary punishment.

“Severe punishment will be ensured for the culprit,” he assured the mother of the child adding that meanwhile all social, moral and medical support would be provided to the victim. The minister earlier also visited the Orthopaedic Ward and got intermingled with the patients.

Kafilullah, another patient from Larkana, informed the minister that inadequate facilities at the tertiary care hospital in his home town compelled him to come to the CHK.—APP
