KARACHI, Sept 12: Six ships carrying DAP fertilizer, coal and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven vessels, Hounslow-2, Rosseanne, Al-Marwah, oil tankers, Global Wind, to unload coal, Jade Trader, to unload and load containers, Wisdom-C, Persia and Ataraxia, to unload and load general cargo.
Thor Capitan, Wan Hai-266, Maersk Alaska, Feng Ping, Rosseanne, Iran Baluchistan, Wester Muehlen, Swat and Bi Bim departed on Monday, while Al-Marwah, Rainbow Spring, Ataraxia, Mirinda Rose and Jade Traders are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained at a brisk pace as the total cargo soared to 0.146m tons comprising 11.082 tons of export cargo and 0.135m tons of import, including 53,000 tons of liquid cargo.
The following vessels are due to arrive on Tuesday: Apollon, with 42,000 tons of DAP fertilizer, Santa Maria, to load 11,500 tons of rice, Manila Star, with 32,784 tons of coal, Sinar Bontang, Iran Sattari and APL Pusan, with containers.
