28 probables to appear for trials

LAHORE, Sept 11: Twenty-eight probables will appear in the trials to select a National under-17 football team to compete in the AFC football championship qualifying round to be held in India in November. The trials will be held at the Ayub Stadium, Quetta on Sept 16 and 17. Pakistan, India and Tajikistan are participating in the round.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) allowed other players also, besides the invitees, to appear in trials.Probables: Goalkeepers: Ahmed Umer, Amir Gul, Abdul Qayyum, Basit.

Defenders: Zohaib Khan, Akmal Shahzad, Atif Hussain, Gulfraiz, Majid Ali, Muhammad Irfan, Kaleemullah, Ahmed, Nadeem, and Tahseen Raza.

Midfielders: Fazal Zeeshan, Waheed Ahmed, Rashid Ali, Shehzad, Kalimullah, Wasim Akhtar.

Strikers: Ali Ishtiaq, Farid, Abdul Rehman, Jahanzeb, Ehsanullah, Muhammad Suleman, Fahdullah Khan, and Sohail.
