MIRAMSHAH, Sept 11: A remote-controlled device planted along the main road near the Qutubkhel village was defused shortly before three military trucks were to pass through the place on Sunday. Sources said the bomb had been spotted by a tribesman who informed the administration and a bomb disposal team of the Tochi Scouts was sent to the site.

Security personnel stopped the traffic before the bomb disposal experts started defusing the device.

The military convoy resumed the journey to Bannu when the traffic was restored after two hours.
