Struggle to continue

GUJRANWALA, Sept 11: The opposition will continue its joint struggle against the government and president till the complete restoration of real democracy under the 1973 Constitution. This was stated by Jamaat-i-Islami secretary-general Syed Munawer Husain while speaking at a news conference here on Sunday.

He condemned the operation being launched in Wana and crackdown on seminaries, alleging that all these actions were being taken at the behest of the US.

The JI leader warned that religious parties would resist if raids were conducted on madaris to seize them. He said the future course of action would be announced shortly after a joint meeting of the combined opposition in Islamabad.
