Another easy stroll for champions Chelsea


LONDON, Sept 10: Champions Chelsea notched up their fifth consecutive Premier League victory of the season with a routine 2-0 win over bottom club Sunderland on Saturday.

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by local rivals City at Old Trafford, both sides continuing their unbeaten starts to the season, and Charlton Athletic recorded their fourth successive win, 1-0 at Birmingham City.

England striker Michael Owen enjoyed a quiet Newcastle United debut as his side were held to a 1-1 home draw by Fulham.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool drew 0-0 at White Hart Lane, Wigan Athletic won 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion and Portsmouth were 1-0 winners at Everton.

Arsenal travel to Middlesbrough later on Saturday, Bolton Wanderers face Blackburn Rovers on Sunday and West Ham United meet Aston Villa on Monday. #
