HYDERABAD, Sept 10: The Sindhi Adabi Board has announced that Sindh Education Minister Dr Hameeda Khuhro, who is also chairman of the board, has approved promotions and upgradation of 31 employees.

The board management said on Saturday that the order had resolved a longstanding problem of the employees.

The board expressed hope that the employees would now work with renewed vigour to convert the board into an ultra modern organization.

WORKSHOP: The directorate of finance of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology organized a workshop on ‘procurement’ in collaboration with the Institute of Business Finance and Industry, Karachi.

The workshop was attended by financial managers of public sector universities, banks and other government organizations.

MUET deputy director finance Fazal Ali Shaikh highlighted importance of procurement.

Vice-Chancellor Dr A.Q.K Rajput stressed upon participants to fully involve themselves in learning and implementing procurement policies and procedures in line with international standard.

The resource persons of the Institute of Business Finance and Industry, Prof Mohammad Ali Shaikh, president IBFI imparted training through case study and exercises.

He spoke at length on procurement policy, procurement procedure, contract, foreign trade and problems in procurement procedure.

Mr Munir A. Shaikh, director finance of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology spoke on the occasion.
