KARACHI, Sept 9: Three cups are up for grabs in the Summer Gymkhana race meeting which is being held to commemorate the Defence Day, at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The programme which will altogether have nine races including the three cups begins at 1.00pm.

Two-year-old bay colt, Moj-e-Arab, is fancied to clinch the Maj Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Cup in the fourth race spread over five furlongs with a field of ten runners.

Trained by Ghulam Channa, Moj-e-Arab who had to be content with second position twice last month should cross the winning post ahead of other opponents.

Four-year-old filly, Countess Mah Again, is tipped to annex the Flt Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed Cup. The six-furlong sixth race of the day will see eighteen horses vying for the top honours.

Placed runners-up in the six furlongs last meeting with jockey Tariq Baran in the saddle, the filly should romp home to grab the cup.

Voo Doo Doll, the three-year old filly and six-year-old mare Lady Freedom, should settle for the places.

Six-year-old bay mare, Bang On Target, enjoy an edge over her rivals to lift the Defence Day Cup in the seven furlongs eighth race of the day.

It will not be an easy going as Scluptor, Harry Potter, King Of Sanghar, Super Conqueror and Patricia will be there to pose challenge.

Eight-year-old bay mare, Baby Tabassum should make it two in a row by winning honours in the first race. Prosmatic and Dushtiyani should follow.

Lucky Golden, the four-year-old colt, who was piloted home by jockey M. Wasim 11, last Sunday, is tipped to repeat similar performance in the second race.

Seven-year-old mare Order Of The Day should run away with flying colours in the third race with Sweet Mover and Royal Loyalty battling it out for places.

Four-year-old colt, Dragun Heart is our fancy to win the concluding race.
