KARACHI, Sept 9: Students who are pursuing education in eastern medicine should also keep themselves abreast of present day advancements in the medical field. This was stated by President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan Ms Sadia Rashid on Thursday while speaking at the annual prize distribution ceremony of the Faculty of Eastern Medicine, Hamdard University, Karachi. Members of the National Tibb Council were also present.

Ms Rashid said modern medical advancements had indicated that excessive use of chemicals affected the human body system. She was of the view that medicinal plants provided relief to human beings and that was why medicinal plants were in demand everywhere.— APP
