TASHKENT, Sept 9: Uzbekistan has signed a deal on creation of a consortium of investors from China, Russia, Malaysia and South Korea to explore hydrocarbon fields in the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, the state oil and gas holding company Uzbekneftegaz said on Friday.
The agreement by Uzbekneftegaz, Malaysia’s Petronas, Russias Lukoil, South Korea’s National Oil Corporation and China’s National Petroleum Corp was signed on Thursday in Tashkent, Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.—AFP
