KARACHI, Sept 9: Five ships carrying steel, chemicals and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Kota Tampan, APL Orchid, Harmony to unload and load and unload containers, Arosia, and Mirinda Rose to unload and load general cargo and Freida Selmeer, to unload DAP fertilizer were berthed after sailing of as many ships.

Seven ships, Y.M.Moon, CAN CGM Karibu, Scotia, Genco Wisdom, Bum Ju, Fude, Stolt Rindo and Athloforos were departed, while APL Orchid, Kota Tampan, Eax Sanctity, Wan Hai-266, Maersk Alaska and Feng Ping are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side as the total tonnage amounted to 98,424 tons comprising 10,340 tons of export cargo and 88,084 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Sea Luck, with 23,672 tons of steel cargo, Roseanne, Al-Marwah and Shintoku, with chemicals and Jade Trader, with containers.
