Lawyers support strike call

LAHORE, Sept 8: The Lahore High Court Bar Association said the bar fully supported the strike call given by the opposition and would participate in agitation against the military government. A press release, issued here by LHCBA secretary Shehram Sarwar, said lawyers would not lag behind in making the strike a success. However, he did not explain how the lawyers would participate in the agitation. PBC vice-chairperson Hafiz Abdur Rehman told Dawn the lawyers would abstain from attending the courts after 10am as a token of solidarity with the opposition. —Correspondent
