Relief aid
WASHINGTON, Sept 8: A coalition of major American Muslim groups has announced a pledge to raise $10 million in humanitarian relief for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Islamic Society of North America, which held its annual convention in Chicago during this three-day weekend that ended on Tuesday, also announced the formation of a Muslim Hurricane Relief Task Force to coordinate the aid effort.—Correspondent
