KARACHI: Newly constructed hospitals

KARACHI, Sept 8: The Sindh Minister for Planning and Development, Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari, on Thursday held a meeting to discuss the start of medical facilities in two newly constructed 50-bed hospitals; one in Sector 5-D, New Karachi and the other in Mansoor Nagar, Orangi Town.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Health Minister Shabbir Qaimkhani, Project Director Devolved Social Services Programme, Kazi Abdul Kabir, EDO Health Dr Khalid Shaikh, Medical Superintendent Children Hospital Dr Ali Anjum and DO Health Ch M Ali.

The minister asked officials to take expeditious steps so that these hospitals can start relief activities to people at the earliest.

He directed the EDO Health to issue tenders for supply of medical equipment and staff for these hospitals and to ensure an early start of medical services for people of both areas.—APP
