ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: An Australia ‘A’ cricket team which arrives in Islamabad on Friday will open its tour with a four-day game against Pakistan ‘A’ at the Rawalpindi Stadium from Sunday.
The visiting team will be arriving here from Lahore to play two four-day matches, the second of which will be played at the KRL Stadium between Sept 17-20.
On Friday, the Australian High Commission will host a reception for its cricketers who are scheduled to have nets at Rawalpindi Stadium the following day at 11.00am.
APP adds: Meanwhile, attendance for spectators will be free in the two back-to-back four-day matches being played in the city, starting from Sunday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has already named a squad for the first four-day match while the team for the second clash will be announced later.
One-day matches between the two teams will be played in Lahore — on Sept 23 at Bagh-i-Jinnah and on Sept 25 and 27 at Qadhafi Stadium.
