Sports Colour for UP athletes

PESHAWAR, Sept 6: The University of Peshawar (UP) on Tuesday awarded Sports Colour to 67 athletes who represented the varsity in four different games and grabbed gold medals in the second Pakistan University Games held at Islamabad last May.

Sixty-seven Universities from across the country took part in 12 various disciplines, including six females in which University of Peshawar secured second position overall and grabbed eight gold and five silver and nine bronze medals.

Two UP athletes Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Asad were declared best athletes.

Both Ali and Asad also represented Pakistani in the recently concluded World University Games held at Izmir (Turkey).
