KARACHI, Sept 5: Pakistan Sailing Federation (PSAF) named on Monday a 19-member squad for the South Asian Yachting Regatta to be held at Defence Authority Marina Club on Sept 8-11. The squad consists of a four-member Enterprise team and a ten-member boys and girls Optimist team, two reserves and an official, said secretary general PSAF Capt (Retd) Syed Vaqar Hasan.
The sailors will continue training till the start of Regatta, which features Enterprise team racing, Enterprise individual event and girls and boys team and individual Optimist events.
Pakistan will be defending their title which they won in Colombo last year.
Yachting Federation of India has also submitted names of their team, which includes Cdr M Subramanian, Lt Cdr Sameer Suri, Lt Cdr Sameer Suri, Lt Cdr R Mahesh, Lt Cdr Amit Arvind, NK Yadav, GL Yadav, C Murgan, Viraf Heerjee, Krish Makhija, Alok Dhan Gara, Ayesha Lobo. Cmde (retd) SK Mongia and MS Neeta Angre are the team officials.
