SUKKUR, Sept 5: Ten workers fainted in the Agha Qadirabad Khan Date market on Sunday night as a result of a prolonged power breakdown. Activities in the market remained paralyzed. According to the secretary information of the market committee, Raj Kumar Wadhwani, the power was disrupted at 8pm on Sunday night and was restored 7am on Monday.
He alleged that Hesco officials were deliberately stopping power supply everyday from 8 to 12 hours.
Mr Wadhwani said that thousands of workers had to sit idle in absence of electricity and therefore had to suffer a loss of hundreds of thousands of rupees.
He appealed to the Hesco to stop electricity break-downs in the area otherwise they would launch a protest against them.
